i have been lax in my blogging. not that I need to state the obvious, but I should apologize. sorry to the few, the proud, the two that read my blog! (old school shout-out to stotz and luce!)
not much going on without pics to help the story along...I am looking for a job- that sucks obviously. going well, but not happening fast enough, I hate hate hate doing my resume, so I have put it off as long as possible. I'll be getting that done today hopefully.
knitted a few things and took an embroidery class last week- pics soon as I am borrowing a camera (thanks L!) I should have it tonight.
flea is having a bit of a rough patch- taking her to UC Davis mid-Oct. for a cardiology work up to review her heart issues. Waiting for a call back today from her regular vet here in town to review her med situation and see if it should be adjusted.
Red scarf and clapotis were received to much appreciation- I have asked for pics from both recipients to post here, hope they oblige soon.
that is all ;-) if anyone knows of a job that includes benefits for IVF, pass my name along. I can do just about anything that doesn't require a degree- I am randomly experienced in a vast spectrum of fields, lol- if you have connections in the city- call me!

new wrap on the needles
jes bought me 8 skeins of Misti Alpaca (chuncky) for my b-day- I am putting it to good use in a cabled wrap. I think it will get a lot of use this fall and winter, and I love it so far!
I got about 3/4 done and realized a huge mistake in the early bits would not be invisible (as I thought it might be when it was only a few rows back). I had to frog. I had to do it with support at SnB, thanks ladies. It's now about 1/3-1/2 done again and looking sooooo much better! It's PERFECT, just the way I like it. of course, I am an asshole and don't have pictures to back up my claim, but another random photo will have to do until the damn camera is fixed. blech.
Flea. hating me with every fiber of her 8.5 lb body.

Early birthday gift!
omg- you are going to die when you see this ... if you are of a certain age that is...
handmade by my husband- including the t-shirt! Stotz, are you shitting your pants? He finally did it! After boasting for THREE YEARS that he could make a t-shirt from scratch, he finally did it. and it is fantastic. He learned how to use the sewing machine and everything, and he admits, begrudgingly, that it was much harder than he expected.
ISNT MY HUSBAND THE BEST EVER? he is so effing funny and sweet. I still need to post a picture of the flowers he MADE me out of yarn.
I adore him and his sense of humor- big shout out to the dh- love you baby.

saturday is a lazy day...
Knitting news:
I finished clapotis- just need to block it, that gets done after I strip the bed, wash the sheets, and remake it. For some unknown reason, this takes an act of congress sometimes. (I'm not filthy or anything, I just hate doing it)
I started a simple cable scarf for one of my Michelle's (I have four- two aunts and two friends). I am adding a keyhole because that is what Michelle C. wants :-). It's in my fave yarn, Plymouth Baby Alpaca Grande. It's a red wine color, less purple and more red. I lurve it. I started last night and I am about 6 inches away from being done! woo-hoo for fat yarn and fat needles!
I want to start a new clapotis, but don't have the yarn lined up yet.
I also want to start a new mohair project as I am overflowing in mohair- for a year, craigslist gave me nothing but mohair, it was awesome. I found the pattern book I want to use, but can't remember the name offhand- I will share after I purchase.

clap back on the needles!
lucy got me back on the needles with the Clapotis! all I needed was some encouragement, and commiseration that the pattern is written badly. well...not badly for everyone, just for my brain. I think I have it down now, we will see. I wish I always had a pattern coach - it makes a big difference. (thanks Lucy!)
I have new lovely stitch markers to use, those make me so happy!
no camera yet, that sucks. I do have my phone, but the usb is on back order, so I can't even take pics with that for posting here.
maybe a camera will find it's way into my hot little hands over the weekend and I can post my progress with clap... until then no pics. sorry bout that.
